I wonder if he notices, Mingyu thinks.
Jeonghan’s mouth is slightly agape as he sleeps. His hair is still short and blonde from their last comeback. It falls into his eyes and Mingyu resists the urge to push it off of his face. He knows how it feels, damaged and coarse, clutched between his fingers and brushing against the inside of his thighs.
I wonder if he notices, Mingyu thinks.
Mingyu used to take pictures exclusively of landscapes. Or architecture. Or just, whatever inanimate objects he thought looked nice together.
There’s a framed picture of Jeonghan on his dresser. There’s nothing special about it. Jeonghan is lying in bed, much like he is now, a hand half over his face and looking at the camera disgruntled. Mingyu isn’t quite sure why he felt the need to frame it.
I wonder if he notices, Mingyu thinks, that I like you much more than I meant to.
His stare must wake Jeonghan up.
“Hi there, Mingyu-ah.” Jeonghan mumbles.
“Hey.”
“Make me coffee, will you?”
“It’s already done.”
“Mmm,” Jeonghan cracks open his eyes to look at him, “good boy.”
I think he’s noticed, Mingyu thinks.
“Hey, I really like you.” Mingyu says.
Jeonghan sits up and considers what he just said, “Really?”
“Hyung.. you’re messing with me again.” Mingyu groans.
“Alright, alright, Mingyu-ah,” Jeonghan says in that coddling way that makes Mingyu pout, “tell me again.”
“Forget it.” Mingyu huffs and turns his back to Jeonghan. Jeonghan always starts this silly little game and Mingyu just plays along.
Jeonghan pulls Mingyu over, settles him between his thighs so Mingyu has to face him, “Tell me again.”
Mingyu looks determinedly at the wall, ignoring him.
Jeonghan strokes his hair, trying to pacify him. It works, Mingyu nuzzling his head in the crook of Jeonghan’s neck. After all, there is no better feeling than Jeonghan’s wholehearted attention.
“There we go. Now will you tell me again?” Jeonghan says.
“I like you a lot. I love you a lot.” Mingyu says, looking at Jeonghan directly. Try and play it off now, why don’t you?
“I noticed.” Jeonghan smiles.
“Whatever.”
“I like you too.”
“Just like?”
“Alright,” Jeonghan says, “more than like. A lot more than just like.”
Mingyu kisses him. Enough talking.
Always, it’s like this. Jeonghan, in front of Mingyu, where whatever he wants Mingyu knows the only word he’ll think of is yes.
